Dr. Ginny McFarlane
Conducted in a safe, confidential, and supportive environment, The Mindful Mood Workshop provides a structured process to deal effectively with anxiety and depression.
The weekly group workshops are facilitated by Dr. Ginny McFarlane. Participants are guided through the exercises in The Mindful Mood Workbook (created by Dr. McFarlane specifically for the workshop), and the Mind Over Mood textbook (by Greenberger and Padesky, 1995).
Participants in the program learn how to identify and manage their moods more skillfully. Specifically, they:
- learn and practice mindfulness skills;
- learn and practice Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) skills; and
- give and receive respectful support with other participants in the group.
Following completion of The Mindful Mood Workshop, participants may be eligible for Dr. McFarlane’s follow-up workshops including:
- Mood Support Group (on-going);
- The Anxiety Relief Workshop;
- The DreamPath Workshop; and
- The Summer Sessions.
